Ledgerline includes free overdraft protection. Accidentally go negative? We've got you covered—with no fee.

How overdraft protection works

If a transaction would bring your checking balance below zero, Ledgerline covers it automatically. You won't see a failed transaction or get a returned check. The transaction processes normally.

You won't be charged

Here's the important part: there's no overdraft fee. No $35 charge. Nothing. Ledgerline covers overdrafts for free up to $50 per occurrence. That's your safety cushion.

The limits

Your overdraft protection is limited to $50 per transaction and $100 per day. This prevents abuse while protecting you from the occasional accident. Most people never hit these limits.

Paying it back

If you do overdraft, pay it back when you can. The faster you get back to zero, the better. We don't charge interest or fees—we just want your account healthy again.

How it's different

Traditional banks charge $35-$50 per overdraft and let you go negative by thousands. Ledgerline limits it, charges zero, and treats it as a feature, not a revenue opportunity.

No credit score impact

Using overdraft protection doesn't hurt your credit score. It's an internal account feature, not reported to credit bureaus. Use it for legitimate emergencies without worry.
