Your Ledgerline session is designed to be short-lived for your security. Here's how it works and why you might be asked to verify again.

What is a session?

A session is your active login. When you sign in, we create a session so the app knows it's you. This session has a limited lifetime—usually a few hours. After that, it expires for security.

Automatic renewal

Behind the scenes, the app quietly renews your session while you're using it. You won't notice anything. If you're actively checking your balance, sending money, or reviewing transactions, your session stays fresh automatically.

When you'll be asked to verify again

For sensitive actions—like initiating a transfer, freezing your card, or changing your phone number—we'll ask you to verify your identity again with two-step verification. This is an extra security layer to prevent someone else from making important changes to your account, even if they somehow got into your phone.

Re-verification is normal

Being asked to verify again isn't a sign something is wrong. It's exactly how it should work. We're checking: Is this really the account holder doing this action? Your security is worth the extra 10 seconds.

Automatic logout

If your app sits unused for 15 minutes, your session expires. You'll need to sign in again when you open the app next. This prevents someone from accessing your phone and immediately getting into your banking app.
